Cheshire’s boys’ team completed an emphatic victory in the Boys’ Qualifying Championship (AKA The Little Six) at Ponteland Golf Club.
The team of Spencer Davies (69, 67), Laurent Beech (68, 70), Cole Self (73, 72), Maxi Moore (71, 75), Harry Kell (76, 77) and Aaron Mohun (71, 80) put together a score of seven under-par (best five from six counting). Yorkshire finished second on 10 over-par, while Durham finished third on 19 over-par.
The individual title went to Spencer Davies with rounds of 69 and 67 for a two-round total of 136.
Cheshire will go on to represent the northern counties in the English Boys’ County Finals at Elsham Golf Club on August 26-28.
