Close House-based Carl Thompson led the field in the Teesside and District Union of Golf Clubs’ North Yorkshire and South Durham Championship at Cleveland.
Carl, who shot rounds of 71 and 69, lifted the trophy following a sudden-death playoff with Consett & District’s Luke Bonser and Teesside’s Stephen Fox after all three players finished with a two-round total of 140 in the event – which is part of both the Yorkshire and Durham orders of merit.
