Two teams from Blackwell Grange have won county titles on consecutive days.
In the Durham County Golf Union’s Club Team Handicap Championship at Barnard Castle – the team of Kevin Owen, Tom Beauchamp, Jon Bradley and Neil Clarke shot a three-man score of one over-par to win as the Crook team – led by individual winner Alan Brack with a nett score of 69 – finished second.
The following day in the DCGU Juniors’ PD Cowell event at Tyneside – the team of George Reed, Nixie Corcoran and Lilah Underdown topped the leaderboard to take home the trophy and earn the chance to represent Durham in the English Junior Champion Club event at Spalding Golf Club in August.
