Top juniors from around the country competed in this year’s North of England Under 16s Championship at Pannal Golf Club.
The boys’ U16 title was won by Albie Beeston (North Hants) as he outlasted Teesside’s Alex Boyes on the final day – stretching his lead to seven shots with a morning 64 and completing a two-shot victory with a final-round 71 for a 21 under-par total as Alex shot 66 in the final round to finish runner-up.
The girls’ overall title was won by Ria Prabhaker (West Essex) – who led after each round and finished with an eight under-par total of 288. Ellie Lichtenhein (Buckinghamshire) finished second on five under-par, one shot ahead of Daisy Lee (Lancaster).
The girls’ U14 title was won by Stella Walters (Craigielaw) with a three over-par total as Mila Dodds (Sand Moor) finished second.
The boys’ U14 trophy went to George Bull (Disley) with a four over-par total as Andre Bethapudi (Durham City) finished second.
The next three stagings of the North of England Under 16s will be held at Heswall Golf Cub, with the event set to return to Pannal in 2029.
