Blackwell Grange-based Aaron Cox topped the leaderboard in the North East & North West PGA pro am at Darlington Golf Club.
Aaron led the field of 28 professionals with a five under-par score of 41 points as three players – Wynyard-based James Haper, Morpeth’s David Clark and Seaton Carew-based Michael Skelton – finished in a tie for second place on 39 points.
In the team event, Michael teamed up with amateurs Mark Harris, Marc Hall and Jonathan Piper to post a 17 under-par score of 89 points and win by four shots.
