Yorkshire came out on top following a thrilling final day of matches in the Northern Counties League.
With five of the six teams vying for the title on the final day, Yorkshire claimed a decisive 13-5 win over Northumberland at Dunstanburgh Castle to finish at the top of the table.
Despite a 10.5-7.5 win over Durham at South Moor, Cheshire were pipped to the title – missing out by just 3.5 game points as both counties finished on seven match points.
Lancashire meanwhile finished in third place following a 9-9 draw with Cumbria at Brampton.
