Wynyard Golf Club has further improved its excellent practice facilities with the opening of the Performance Centre Swing Studio with GC2 technology provided by Foresight Sports – a system backed by top coach Butch Harmon.
Harmon, who has worked with many tour players including Greg Norman, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, uses the Foresight Sports GC2 system at his teaching facilities.
The system is now widely used for teaching and club fitting and a growing number of clubs in the North are installing it in their indoor swing studios.
Recently Whitley Bay and Whickham joined the list of clubs with indoor studios and swing analysis technology, and more are in the pipeline.
As well as providing vital information for custom fitting and teaching, there’s a fun element too as groups of players can also play a variety of courses around the world including many top PGA Tour and Open Championship venues including Torrey Pines, Hazeltine, Castle Stewart, Carnoustie, Troon and Celtic Manor by using the simulator.
Wynyard has also installed the latest FSX software, which means players can create an online account to keep a record of their games and practice, which can be linked to online skills and performance tests at the Foresight Sports website.
The club has also expanded its pro shop, almost doubling in size, to provide more space and products for members and guests.
