Andrew Wilson has continued his progress in the professional ranks by signing up with Rockliffe Hall as an attached professional.
The former England international, 24, from Darlington, becomes Rockliffe Hall’s third attached professional – joining
Web.com Tour player Callum Tarren and Ladies European Tour player Ellie Givens.
“I’m really excited about joining Rockliffe Hall as one of their attached golf professionals,” said Andrew.
“I’m very lucky to be able to improve my game on such a fabulous, challenging course and I’m looking forward to starting my professional career on the Challenge Tour in April.”
Andrew, who started playing golf at the age of 13, turned professional in November last year following an impressive amateur career in which he played for England at every age level. Before joining Rockliffe he’d played the championship golf course only a few times, including his win in the Northern Golf Masters in 2015.
Despite turning pro and hoping to make his breakthrough at the top level, Andrew, who has a degree in geography and a masters in business for finance, is also currently studying for his AAT Accountancy qualifications.
Martyn Stubbings, director of golf at Rockliffe Hall, added: “Andrew has been on our radar for quite some time and I’ve watched his progress with interest in the last few years.
“He’s a promising young golfer and we’re delighted to welcome him to Rockliffe Hall as our latest attached professional.”
