Sharpley is set to welcome state-of-the-art Trackman Range technology to its driving range in March.
The Durham club is home to a 14-bay floodlit driving range and will introduce the industry-leading technology ahead of the new season.
With the upgrade, players will be able to test their skills in new ways. Powered by multiple radars around the range which create an overlapping tracking field array – virtual ranges allow players to select targets and track every shot they hit, while they can also move their practice to a virtual golf hole to see how they’re performing. There are also games for all players – whether they’re new to golf or have been playing for decades. These include Closest to the Pin, Bullseye, Hit it! and Capture the Flag. You can also play some of the world’s greatest courses – from Royal Birkdale to Valderrama and PGA National.
During or after your session, players can also look at their data for each shot, track their scores, and pinpoint areas to work on in their next session using the Trackman app.
Sharpley general manager Candi Watkins said: “We’re very excited to be bringing Trackman Range technology to our driving range. Having seen how popular the Trackman technology is in our indoor virtual golf room, and how quickly this kind of technology is becoming a big part of the driving range experience around the country, we wanted to invest in our offering to ensure we continue to deliver the facilities golfers want.
“From youngsters picking up a club for the first time and playing one of the mini games, to experienced golfers working on their game or testing their skills on one of the world’s best courses, there’s so much Trackman Range offers.”
