The Pin opens at Ramside Hall

The Pin at Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa is now officially open following months of development and millions of pounds of investment.

The Pin – the Durham hotel and golf club’s new entertainment venue – is home to a 43-bay Toptracer driving range, a six-lane bowling alley and electronic pub games as well as a sports bar, golf shop, and function room.

Further development in the coming months will include the completion of the new golf academy with its expanded short game practice area and coaching facilities.

Over the last 10 years, £31million has been invested at the hotel – including the development of the spa, treehouses, and Cathedral Course – which is currently undergoing further improvements.

Speaking at the opening, owner John Adamson said: “We are on course to meet our ambition to make Ramside’s golf the best in the North East.”

The venue was officially opened by the lord lieutenant of County Durham, Dame Susan Snowdon CRVO. She said: “Ramside Estates has become the largest and most successful privately owned hospitality group in the region. This new state-of-the-art ambitious development will be a great asset not just to Ramside but to the area.”
