Dawson & Sanderson’s charity golf day at Longhirst Hall Golf Club raised more than £7,000 for Daft As A Brush.
With 21 teams taking part, Dawson & Sanderson reached its yearlong target of raising £20,000 for Daft As A Brush well ahead of schedule.
Chris Harrison, managing director of Dawson & Sanderson, said: “We had an amazing day. We’re thrilled that we were able to smash the fundraising target and to know that money will now be used to support Daft As A Brush’s great work transporting cancer patients across the North East.”
North East Air Compressors of Cramlington took home the team prize, while former England cricketer Steve Harmison and European Tour golfer Ken Ferrie, who both took part in the day, presented the prizes.
