Tom Smith added another victory to an outstanding season when he won the Bishop Auckland Bowl.
The Eaglescliffe and Durham County player posted two excellent rounds of 69 to finish six under-par and five shots clear of Brancepeth’s Richard Aisbitt (74-69), Gavin Nesbit (71-72) and James Glenn (70-73).
Earlier this season Smith was in superb form to win his third successive North Yorkshire and South Durham Championship at windswept Castle Eden.
He also partnered Sam Donald to the Northumberland and Durham Inter-County Foursomes title at Consett early in the year.
