Slaley Hall’s men’s team lifted the Dixon Cup at Ponteland – earning them the title of best in the North East for 2026.
The annual event brings together the winners of the five men’s leagues in the North East, and Slaley Hall – the Hadrian League champions, represented by Angus Buchanan (67), Duncan McCall (70), Brandon Bailey (70), Harry Rowbotham (72), Nic Cardwell (75), Kevin McArdle (78) and Andrew Coetzee (79) – topped the leaderboard with a team total of 432 (best six scores from seven).
Angus led the individual scoring with a five under-par round of 67, as the Slaley Hall team lifted the trophy for a second time in four years.
The Durham City team, representing the North Durham league, finished six shots back in second place as Teesside champions Eaglescliffe finished third.
