Alan Frost has hit quite the run of form this season – racking up three holes-in-one in 2018 to take his personal tally of aces to seven.
Alan, from Stockton, has recorded a trio of aces at Seaton Carew this year, one at each of the challenging links courses’ par threes – Doctor, Mashie and Cosy Corner.
“I’ve never had anyone buy me a round for a hole-in-one and I’ve had to do it seven times now!” joked the 71-year-old.
“A lot of the players at Seaton have said they can’t remember anyone hitting a hole-in-one on all three in a year, they think there’s probably someone who has done it on each hole but maybe not inside a year. They are notorious holes here, so there can’t be many out there who have done it.”
Frost turns 72 in February and started playing at Seaton Carew eight years ago having been a member at Dinsdale Spa and Teesside, where he reduced his handicap to single figures.
His first hole-in-one came 25 years ago in Lancaster and he has recorded aces at El Rompido in Spain and at Gloria Hotel’s New Course in Turkey as well as at Teesside to go with his hat-trick at Seaton Carew this season.
