Ramside Hall Hotel and Golf Club is searching for the next generation of golfing talent in the North East.
Ramside is offering four scholarships to junior golfers aged 10-16, including a years’ free membership and use of its two championship courses, golf academy practice facilities plus tuition with attached PGA professional Kevin Jackson.
Helen Roseberry, director of golf at Ramside, said: “The Michael Adamson Junior Golf Scholarship is now recruiting and Ramside is keen to hear from junior golfers who might be dreaming of becoming the next Graeme Storm, Jodi Ewart Shadoff or Chris Paisley.”
The scholarships are offered annually and are named in honour of Ramside’s late company chairman Michael Adamson MBE. There is no handicap limit and golfers of all abilities are encouraged to apply.
“You don’t have to be the finished article to apply for this golf scholarship. Most of all we’re looking for young people with potential who genuinely love being out on the golf course,” added Helen.
The scholarship scheme was established in 2015 and several recipients have gone on to new heights, including Kitana Hollins – who is attending Murray State College in Oklahoma, Duran Gun – winner of the Mizuno Race to Rockliffe in 2017, and Adam Charlton –who is in England Golf’s North Region development squad for 2018.
Assessment days take place on February 12 and February 19. To register email helen.roseberry@ramsidehallhotel.co.uk and krjgolfcoaching@gmail.com
