Ramside’s Adam Charlton helps St Andrews University win back-to-back BUCS titles

Ramside and Durham County player Adam Charlton helped the University of St Andrews win the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) title for the second year in a row.

University of St Andrews – represented by Adam, Josie Baker, Lucy Jamieson, Megan Ashley, James Conn, Roddy McAuley, William Draper, Charlie Reynolds and Tom Parker, won the title for a second consecutive year with victory over University of Stirling in the tournament’s final at Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire.

“Winning the BUCS national championship is a really special achievement, and something that we have worked so hard throughout the year to achieve,” said team captain Roddy McAuley. “Being the first St Andrews team to win it two years in a row makes it all the sweeter.”

St Andrews and Stirling met in the 36-hole final after St Andrews beat Exeter University in the semi-finals as Stirling overcame University of Bath.
