Odyssey Golf has unveiled its new TRTL putters – with mallet shapes designed to deliver exceptionally high moment of inertia (MOI) in clean, confidence-inspiring designs.
The mid-mallet TRTL shape (RRP £299) is built for easy alignment – with Crank Hosel, Double Bend, and S Neck offerings. The new TRTL Max shape (RRP £329) is designed with maximum MOI and features Odyssey’s Square 2 Square concept with zero torque for players who want to minimise face rotation and keep the face square throughout the stroke.
TRTL putters feature new Twin Track alignment with long, uninterrupted lines. Every model also features a new Ai-Star insert – a dual-layer construction combining urethane and aluminium engineered to deliver consistent ball speed across the face and improve forward roll.
The bodies of the putters are crafted from steel and finished in a premium black PVD, the shell is made from a lightweight ABS, and the sole or belly is made from lightweight aerospace-grade aluminium. This multi-material construction allows weight to be pushed to the perimeter of the putter to maximise MOI for greater stability and forgiveness.
The dual-layer Ai-Star insert has an aluminium inner layer with a firmer urethane layer on the outside striking surface. This design delivers speed consistency across the face, forward roll up and down the face, and a firmer responsive feel. Meanwhile, the Forward Roll Design grooves are deeper and more aggressive with a 19° slope.
Engineered with new sole geometry, the putters are designed to sit square the moment they are placed behind the ball. The refined rake and camber work together to help the sole sit flush to the ground and settle into proper alignment, giving players a more consistent start to every stroke.
Four discrete weights positioned in the corners of the putter head allow for unprecedented adjustability in an Odyssey mallet, allowing players to move the centre of gravity (CG) towards the front, rear, heel or toe of the head – and finetune the amount of toe hang the putter has.
“We’ve spent so much time developing and finetuning this product over the last year and a half,” said Eric Stubben, Odyssey’s R&D director for putters. “Conceptually, it maximises MOI and that’s something that we believe in. We wanted to bring the alignment line all the way to the face, soften the edges, and make the alignment lines highly visible. We feel really excited about where we ended up from a functionality standpoint – and from a design standpoint. We’re excited about the MOI, the CG depth, and the insert really separates TRTL – with face technologies that create more ball speed consistency and better distance control across the face.”
