Looking to the future

Graeme Storm’s continued commitment to junior golf in the North East will take another step forward this year.

The European Tour winner will host two junior events this season – both in May.

The new event, The Mini Storm Trophy for seven to 10-year-olds, will be held at Wynyard and will complement The Graeme Storm Junior Open, which will take place at Hartlepool on Monday May 7.

The categories for the GSJO are: 11-14 Boys, 11-14 Girls, 15-18 Boys, 15-18 Girls. This year’s competition also gives players a chance to qualify for the Telegraph Vitality Junior Golf Championship at Quinta do Lago.

Wynyard will host The Mini Storm Trophy, a nine-hole strokeplay event with prizes for both boys and girls, on May 19. There will also be a chance for youngsters to try Tri Golf if they come along and don’t play in the tournament.

All the details for both competitions and the entry forms can be found in the Junior Golf section at graemestorm.co.uk.
