Garry Logan has joined Seahouses Golf Club as the club’s first head PGA professional.
Bringing more than 35 years’ experience to the role, Garry’s career has included success as an amateur and professional.
A winner of multiple professional titles including The Leeds Cup and NE/NW PGA Championship, an England and GB&I international and European Tour player, Garry said: “Coming back to Seahouses as the first professional in 103 years is a great feeling.
“I took up the game here with my dad, who designed the second nine holes and was a big part of the club, and it’s exciting to have a blank slate to create what the Seahouses Golf Club professional is.”
Having returned to the North East in April following a spell teaching in Portugal, Garry has established his pro shop at the club and is looking forward to working with the members and local players.
“We’ve got Get into Golf starting in July, a beginners’ membership offer following on from that and some fantastic facilities for teaching including a stunning golf course. I couldn’t have picked a better place to make a return to the North East and I’m looking forward to settling in,” added Garry.
