Seaton Carew proved a tough test for the 2024 Seaton Salver.
Fast greens, penal rough and a stiff north-easterly wind led to just four players breaking par in the morning, while only one player did so in the afternoon’s second round.
Yorkshireman Jack Maxey, from Hornsea, led the way with rounds of 70 and 72 to win by one shot from Blackwell Grange’s Adam Rochester (70-73) as Garforth’s Jake Willis finished third with rounds of 69 and 74.
