A hat-trick of special awards were presented at the North Durham League’s presentation night and dinner at The George Washington Hotel.
Departing Durham County Golf Union secretary Jonathan Ward was thanked for his help and support ahead of starting his new job with England Golf.
Meanwhile, a special presentation was made to two North Durham League players – Les Souter from Beamish and Whitburn’s Geoff Wilkinson – to mark both players competing in more than 50 seasons of NDUGC League matches.
There was also a special presentation made to David Conway from Maxim Facilities Management, which has sponsored the league for the last 14 years.
