Durham City’s James Glenn has been crowned Durham County Golf Union Order of Merit champion for 2023, while Seaham’s Grant Dixon topped the Player of the Year standings.
James topped the order of merit with 525 points, with his wins in the Matchplay Championship at Darlington Golf Club and the Bishop Auckland Bowl helping to secure the title for the first time since 2020.
Meanwhile, Grant led the Player of the Year rankings with 910 points – accrued through performances for the county team, and in this year’s county matchplay and strokeplay championships.
