Joshua Brookes and Jess Baker have been crowned Northumberland Matchplay champions.
Played at City of Newcastle Golf Club, the boys’ event took place over four matchplay rounds following an 18-hole qualifying event.
Joshua, from Arcot Hall Golf Club, beat Close House’s Jonny Douglas 2up in a close final having beaten Newbiggin Golf Club’s Jai Scott in his semi-final match.
In the girls’ event, this month’s cover star Jess Baker, from Gosforth Park Ladies, beat close friend and county teammate Rosie Belsham (Whitley Bay) at the second extra hole.
The next event in the Northumberland junior calendar is the 36-Hole Junior Strokeplay Championship at Longhirst Hall Golf Club on June 4.
