PC David Rathband’s Blue Lamp Foundation, the charity set up by the late police officer to support emergency service personnel who are injured in the line of duty, is set to host a charity golf day at Tyneside Golf Club on Sunday July 14.
The David Rathband Trophy was set up by The Northumberland Referees Association after David was shot and blinded while on duty. This year will be the 12th year of the event and teams are invited to take part – with tee times available from 11am. Team and individual prizes will be up for grabs on the day, and the cost to enter is £40 per person with each player set to receive a breakfast sandwich and two-course meal as part of the day.
