George Washington’s Duran Gun underlined his potential as a top county player with victory in the Durham Boys Championship at Billingham.
Reduced to 18 holes this year, Duran won the event with a round of 72.
Duran, the 2018 Mizuno Race2Rockliffe order of merit title winner, led the elite field of juniors by three shots as Ramside’s Adam Charlton finished in second place.
The under 16 boys title went to Eaglescliffe’s Harry Caygill while Wynyard’s Alex Boyes won the under 14 title.
