Dunstanburgh greenkeeper selected for career-defining delegation to America

The British & International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) and partner Bernhard and Company have selected 10 members to engage in one of the sports turf industry’s most prestigious learning opportunities.

Each year, Bernhard and Company invites 10 BIGGA members to attend the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America’s Conference and Trade Show, which takes place in Phoenix, Arizona January 29-February 1 2024.

A spot on the delegation marks out a candidate as among the most dedicated and talented ambassadors for greenkeepers. With experiences designed to elevate the careers of those in attendance, the delegation is a week-long educational trip that features site visits as well as seminars, networking events and educational demonstrations. The successful delegates will also be invited to convene at the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition in January, where they will meet former participants in the programme.

The BIGGA members selected for the delegation include Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course owner Stuart Imeson – alongside Robert Acheson (Thonock Park), Harry Cannon (Sunningdale), Stephen Davey (Queenwood), Michael Gibbons (Disley), James Hampson (Llanymynech), Fraser Jardine (Trump Turnberry), Richard Ponsford (Clevedon), Luke Sheldon (Beau Desert) and Richard Stephens (Vicars Cross).
