Darlington’s Callum Moncur produced a superb second round performance to hold off home club favourite Nigel Ralph in the Keith Shivers Bowl at Heworth.
The 2023 Junior European Open winner posted a first round 71 as Nigel shot 74. He followed up with a round of 69 – a score matched by Nigel – to finish on a two under-par total of 140 and win by three shots from Nigel and Boldon’s Martin McCririck (70-73). Meanwhile, Heworth’s Aaron Scott (75-71) finished in fourth place in the Durham County Order of Merit event.
