Blackwell’s back in play

Following extensive work over the winter, Blackwell Grange Golf Club has opened its three remodelled par three holes.

Club captain Jon Bradley took the opening shot at the ninth hole alongside lady captain Bridget Hall, club chairman Neil Sayers and head pro Peter Raine. The ninth, 11th and 13th holes have been designed by Jonathan Gaunt Golf Design with the groundworks carried out by NLS Contracts. The holes have been setup for play by head greenkeeper Richie Pybus and his team.

Neil said: “We are delighted with the design and layout of the three holes, which make an exciting improvement to the course. This is part of our investment programme since our move to Snipe Lane, the next phase of which is already underway with the construction of a short game practice area and state-of-the-art swing studio.”
