Blackwell Grange Golf Club’s ladies’ captain Carole Zissler handed over a cheque for more than £4,500 to her chosen charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind, as her captain’s year came to an end.
Representatives from the charity – along with two guide dogs in training – visited the club to receive the cheque following a year of fundraising on and off the course.
Following the handover, Gill Cotgrave drove into office and announced she will be raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance over the next 12 months.
