Beamish Park’s annual Charity Golf Day in aid of Charlie Bear for Cancer Care is set to top £50,000 when it returns on Thursday July 6, 2017. Run by club professional Chris Cole alongside Jim Cockburn and volunteers from the club, the event was set up by Chris six years ago following his cancer treatment at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital.
He said: “The event has been incredibly successful in the last six years and I can’t thank those who take part enough. It’s always great fun, with lots going on throughout the day and the money all stays here in the North East with a great cause.”
