EuroPro Tour qualifying school dates set for the New Year

The PGA EuroPro Tour is set to return to the North East next summer, and professional golfers from the region will be vying to be a part of it.

All professionals, as well as amateurs with an official handicap of two or less will be able to compete at the tour’s Qualifying School next spring, which is contested over two stages. Those successful will earn a full card on the 2017 EuroPro Tour – a satellite of the European Tour which offers direct access to the Challenge Tour through its final order of merit.

First Stage qualifying will take place during the week commencing March 27 with final stage the following week at its usual host venue – Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxfordshire.

First Stage qualifying school takes place over 36 holes and golfers will have a choice of playing at one of six venues nationwide, with First Stage host courses set to be confirmed before Christmas.

Those who are successful at First Stage Qualifying will advance to play at Frilford Heath between April 5-7, where one round will be played on each the Red and Blue courses before the top 80 and ties from the 240-man field play a final round on the Blue Course. To enter go to
