Hartelpool’s Alex Wrigley headed just a little down the coast to Seaton Carew to win a PGA North Region’s order of merit event.
A total of 40 holes were needed to find a winner between Alex and former Seaton junior Simon Robinson. The pair finished tied after two rounds on five under-par, with Alex catching Simon with a superb round of 66 on day two. In the playoff, Alex was able to finally pull clear at the fourth extra hole and take home the £1,000 winner’s cheque.
