The two 12-strong teams will face off from 1pm, with spectators invited to watch the 24 top players compete over the historic course. There’s also set to be clinics on the range and the chance to win spot prizes from 11am, and food will be available for spectators from a pizza truck and the halfway house.
Players confirmed for the professional team include Porsche European Open winner Marcus Armitage, Open de France and Joburg Open winner Dan Bradbury, ISPS HANDA World Invitational winner Dan Brown, ISPS Handa World Invitational and Ras Al Khaimah Championship winner Dan Gavins, and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open winner John Parry. They’ll be joined by Nick Marsh, George Ash, Sam Bairstow, Joe Dean, George Mason, playing captain Chris, and special invitee Marco Penge.
The match result will be determined by the overall number of holes up/down in each game, and live scoring will be available via Golf Genius and the 2020protour website. Last time out, the professional team won a close series of matches with a cumulative score of 6up.
