England cap Andrew Wilson cruised to a five-shot victory in the prestigious Leonard Crawley Medal at Brancepeth Castle.
The 22-year-old Durham County player from Wynyard Hall posted rounds of 69 and 66 with Brancepeth’s James Glenn runner-up (74-66) alongside former British Mid-Amateur Champion Richard Aisbitt (70-70).
Wilson was a comfortable winner of the Northern Golf Masters at Rockliffe Hall last year and also runner-up in the North of England Youths Open at Middlesbrough, a title he won in 2013.
