Andrew Minnikin and Michael Henson have won scratch titles at Heworth and Cleveland to add to their success this season.
Andrew led the field in the North Durham Union of Golf Clubs’ Alan Curtis Trophy at Heworth with a two under-par round of 69. Wearside’s Lee McIntosh and Brancepeth Castle’s Dan Fox finished two shots back in a tie for second place.
In the rearranged Cleveland Salver, Rockliffe Hall-based Michael topped the leaderboard with a three under-par total following rounds of 71 and 70. Hull’s Jacob Hodgson was second, one shot back, while Bradford’s Richard Wheatley finished third with a one under-par total.
