The Teesside Alliance has presented a cheque for £1,000 to the Teesside Union’s junior programme to support a training initiative.
Junior liaison officer Lee Norman, junior captain Dan Norman and treasurer John Byrne received the cheque from Alliance secretary Trevor Newton and captain Buddy Hood.
Lee said: “We will use this to engage local golf professionals to provide training programmes with the intention of improving the technical abilities of juniors preparing to engage in team competitions and encourage more juniors to take up golf. We are extremely grateful to the Teesside Alliance and its members for this generous donation. I know it will help development of junior golf in the Teesside area.”
