Team members announced for the 32nd Phoenix Cup at Pine Valley

Players taking part in the 32nd Phoenix Cup have been announced ahead of the event at Pine Valley Club in Ohio on June 15-20, 2026.

The Phoenix Cup brings together athletes with various disabilities in a Ryder/Solheim Cup format. Since its debut at Chippewa Creek in Canada, the event has featured players from Europe and the US as well as Canada, Australia, South Africa, and beyond.

Team Europe was victorious in the 30th edition of the event at St Andrews, while the US won by one point at the 31st Phoenix Cup at Raven Club in Arizona.

“This event is about so much more than just golf,” said founder Jim Gales. “It’s about giving every player, regardless of their financial situation, the chance to compete at the highest level, forming lifelong friendships, and proving that disability is not a barrier to golfing excellence.

“Our American hosts have done a fantastic job fundraising and have offered all the players and their coaches the same package for the week-long event in Ohio. For only a couple hundred dollars each, there are five days of golf including the fourball, foursomes and singles matchplay rounds, a practice round, and a charity scramble where more than 100 golfers will participate – plus a hotel, transport and meals for the duration.”

Players confirmed for the 32nd Phoenix Cup include Yorkshireman Graham Moore, who will captain the World Team. A retired police officer and lifelong sportsman, Graham has overcome serious injuries and cancer to rediscover his passion for golf. Meanwhile, Mark Arnold will captain the US team in his native Ohio.

Players confirmed for the World Team also include vice-captain Jim Gales joined by coach Martin Lowe, vice-captain Peter Osborne with coach Cara Osborne, Colin MacLachlan, Steve Becala, Jim Hamill, Glen Jackson, Doug Penner with coach Steve Donaldson, Andy Sellars with coach Martin Sellars, Amanda Large with coach John Large, Derek Kibblewhite with coach Chris Chambers, Kevin Cassidy, Cristiano Berlanda, and Kevin McBride with coach Liz McBride.
