England Golf has selected Seaton Carew Golf Club to host the Under-16 international match between England and Spain this spring.
The event will take place April 5-6 with the elite teams of boys and girls going head-to-head over four rounds – with foursomes matches each morning followed by singles matches in the afternoons.
Players will compete over the Micklem layout at Seaton, which welcomed the best male and female golfers in the country in 2024 for the English Amateur Championship.
Seaton has built on its 150th anniversary in 2024 by climbing to 41st in the latest National Club Golfer Top 100 Golf Courses in England list. The new listing adds to the club returning to the Top 100 Courses in Great Britain & Ireland for the first time in several decades.
“This international match further provides us with the opportunity to showcase Seaton Carew Golf Club’s championship pedigree, by providing a platform for the stars of tomorrow to demonstrate their golfing skills at the highest level,” said club manager Alex Shaw.
