Prudhoe’s Ben Lloyd and George Armstrong topped the leaderboard in the Hadrian League’s Challenge Cup at Tyneside Golf Club.
Ben and George both led their flights in the event – which sees one scratch player and one nett player combine their positions in their respective flights for a team score. With Ben topping the gross scores with a round of 69 for a six-shot victory, and George leading the nett scores with a 69, Prudhoe completed a convincing win over Hexham despite the team of Martin Coup and Kim Steward both finishing second on their respective flights. Third place went to the Newcastle United team of Cameron Stott and James Windebank.
