Callaway has launched new Apex irons – led by the Apex Ai200 and Apex Ai300 offerings (RRP £1,199) – featuring a forged body construction and forged Ai Smart Face technology.
Apex Ai200 is a players’ distance iron featuring a hollow-body design with a forged 455 Face Cup in a premium profile – delivering tour-level sound and feel with increased speed across the face.
Meanwhile, Apex Ai300 is a forged game-improvement iron with a cavity-back design and slightly larger profile that blends performance and forgiveness. The forged cavity-back is combined with a forged 455 Face Cup to deliver the same improvements in speed and feel as Apex Ai200.
Both irons build on Callaway’s groundbreaking Ai Smart Face technology. Using real golfer swing data combined with artificial intelligence, the Ai Smart Face generates greater speed and spin consistency with tight dispersion. Strategically positioned MIM weighting ensures the optimal centre of gravity for the best launch windows for each iron, while the Dynamic Sole Design enhances turf interaction to provide greater forgiveness.
The new line-up also includes the Apex Ti Fusion irons (RRP £1,999). The irons feature an industry-first forged titanium face which works alongside a hollow body construction to improve performance across the board.
