Sickleholme’s Ollie Smith lifted the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs’ Matchplay Championship trophy at Sand Moor as Richard Norton won the Seniors’ Matchplay Championship.
Ollie came through four rounds of matches to lift the trophy, including a 3&2 win over Northcliffe-based Patrick Young in the final.
Meanwhile, Beverley & East Riding-based Richard lifted the seniors’ trophy following three rounds of matches – including a 3&2 win over Warren Lockett (Huddersfield), who was also the runner-up in 2025, in the final.
