Mizuno unveils Pro Fli-Hi tour utility irons

Mizuno has added a new Fli-Hi tour utility iron model to its Pro lineup for 2026.

A tour-proven utility long iron, the Fli-Hi (RRP £275) is designed to deliver faster ball speeds, higher launch and refined workability – all wrapped in a compact, tour-preferred profile.

At the core of the new Fli-Hi is Mizuno’s most advanced face construction to-date. The Contoured Ellipse CORTECH design expands the effective hitting area by 37%, ensuring faster ball speeds and more consistent performance across the face. A multi-thickness face, optimised through detailed computer-aided engineering analysis, further enhances peak coefficient of restitution to provide explosive distance without sacrificing control.

To improve launch conditions, 26g of tungsten is strategically positioned low and deep within the head. This precise weighting geometry raises the peak trajectory and ensures added stability and forgiveness. Combined with L-Face geometry – a welding technique that increases sole flex – the result is a thinner topline that retains strength while generating additional speed at impact.

The new Fli-Hi also benefits from Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology – with carefully engineered internal ribs that finetune vibration frequencies to deliver a solid, tour-validated impact sensation. The acoustic profile has been matched to Mizuno’s previous Fli-Hi models, ensuring continuity of feel while offering subtle refinements asked for by tour players.

The Fli-Hi also marks a construction milestone as the first Mizuno iron to utilise Nickel Chromoly 4335+ Hollow Body technology. The ultra-high-strength, heat-treated face delivers explosive ball speeds, while the softer untreated body provides adaptability in loft and lie adjustments.

Visually, the Fli-Hi features a new Gun Metal Satin finish that reduces glare at address, framing the ball cleanly to create the appearance of a more compact, confidence-inspiring head.
