Mizuno launches JPX ONE family of drivers, fairway woods and hybrids

Mizuno has introduced the JPX ONE family of metalwoods – as the Japanese brand aims to redefine ball speed, forgiveness and feel.

Building on decades of innovation, the JPX ONE driver (RRP £529) is the world’s first to feature NANOALLOY face technology. Developed in collaboration with materials specialists Toray, it utilises microscopic polymer dispersion to produce a face that dynamically alters its elasticity under impact. The result is a material that stores and releases more energy at impact than traditional titanium or composite constructions.

This breakthrough pairs with a newly engineered CORTECH Face – up to 0.35mm thinner than previous generations – expanding the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) by more than 15% versus the ST-MAX driver.

Two models – JPX ONE and JPX ONE SELECT – offer distinct performance profiles with JPX ONE featuring a slightly larger footprint for higher stability and straighter ball flight, while JPX ONE SELECT delivers a more compact, tour-preferred shape with a neutral to fade bias. Both driver models also include adjustable weighting and Quick Switch hosel systems to finetune launch and spin.

The new range also includes fairway woods (RRP £315, 15-24° lofts) with a re-engineered CORTECH Chamber that strategically varies the internal gap between the sole and chamber wall to increase face flexion towards the toe and heel, amplifying energy transfer across the hitting surface without compromising central performance.

Each head also features a wrap-around composite crown and a multi-thickness MAS1C steel face as well as the new Speed Bevel sole that refines turf interaction – producing cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speed from a variety of lies.

Completing the family, the new hybrids (RRP £280, 19-28° lofts) feature a Waffle Crown structure to enhance face stability and allow Mizuno’s engineers to reposition discretionary mass lower and deeper for optimal launch and spin control. There is also a uniform-thickness 1.8mm MAS1C face, re-engineered CORTECH Chamber, and Speed Bevel sole.
