Hunley Hall’s Michael Hay hit top form as he won the North Yorkshire and South Durham Championship.
The 21-year-old, who is part of the golf team at Nova Southeastern University in Miami, opened with a round of 64 and backed it up with a closing round of 72 for a one-shot win over South Shields’ Martin McCririck (70-67) and Wynyard’s Jack Ainscough (67-70).
