Following months of exciting work at the five-star Northumberland resort, Matfen Hall will officially unveil its new green complexes as it hosts The Douglas Invitational on Saturday June 27.
The event will welcome the first visitors to experience nine new greensites on the championship course, with the individual competition open to golfers of all abilities.
Arrivals are from 9am, with complimentary coffee and bacon rolls before the shotgun start. There will be on-course refreshments throughout the round, an outdoor barbecue with a DJ, and four nearest the pin competitions.

On Sunday June 28, Matfen will welcome guests to the grand opening of its Himalayas Putting Green. Open to all, this event will take place throughout the day with no booking required. Competition entry is £5 and complimentary putter hire is available if needed. There will also be Pimm’s, canapes, and live music.
