England Golf has named eight players in its national boys’ squad for the 2026/27 campaign – including Doncaster-based George Cooper.
Aaron Moody (Burhill, Surrey) and George Whitehead (Hillside, Lancashire) will be part of the setup for another year alongside six new additions to the team – George, Albie Beeston (North Hants, Hampshire), Max Blake (Corhampton, Hampshire), Sullivan Goddard (Thetford, Norfolk), Ezra Hartland (Cooden Beach, Sussex) and Alfie Turner (Trentham, Staffordshire).
England Golf men’s performance manager Ben Gorvett said: “We’re really pleased to see these boys progressing through our regional programme. They have demonstrated both the ability to perform at a high level, and a real eagerness to learn and develop.
“This year’s programme will support their continued progression through high-quality coaching, a competitive environment, and valuable playing opportunities. It’s an exciting time for our squad programme, with a talented group of players who have great potential.”
