Following its expansion, Albatross Golf Holidays & Events – run by North East-based PGA professionals Andrew Scrimshaw and Martyn Jobling – is partnering with Northern Golfer in 2024 to enhance the prize package for the Match Play Pairs tournament.
Albatross, which was created in 2018 to host pro ams and amateur events at some of the best courses in the UK and around the world, was relaunched as Albatross Golf Holidays & Events in October 2023.
Having built a reputation for hosting industry-leading tournament experiences at some of the world’s greatest golf venues – Andrew, Martyn and the team now offer a full golf travel service catering to all golfers’ needs, working with tried and tested destinations across the globe.
“Partnering with Northern Golfer on an event was a fantastic opportunity for a growing golf travel company which is proudly based in the North East,” said Martyn. “Having proven ourselves through our events in the last five years, now is the right time to expand the offering into a full golf travel solution, and we’re delighted with our progress so far.”

As part of the new partnership, Albatross will be enhancing the prize package for the 2024 Northern Golfer Match Play Pairs tournament. As well as receiving £600 in prize vouchers, the winners will also be invited to compete in Albatross’ Turnberry or Portuguese Pairs events in 2025, free of charge*.
Entries for the 2024 Match Play Pairs tournament will open in February, and the details will be published in our next edition.
