James Wilson topped the leaderboard in the North East & North West PGA’s pro am at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club.
Alnmouth Village-based James led the field with a four under-par score of 40 points as Mark Ridley (Consett & District) finished one shot back in second place and four players – Tim Dykes (Penrith), Jack McCall (Just Golf Morpeth), Simon Robinson (Close House) and Alex Wrigley – finished in a tie for third place with two under-par scores.
In the team event, professional Darren Pearce and amateurs Craig Hamilton, Mick Brown and Rennie Wood led the way with a 15 under-par score of 87 points.
