Garforth-based Jake Wallis fired a final-round 65 to win his first college event in the US.
Jake, who also led the Arkansas State men’s golf team to victory, shot rounds of 70, 69 and 65 for a 12 under-par total at Bayonet Golf Club. He finished in dramatic fashion, making eagles on two of his last three holes, to complete his third career round of 65 or better and finish five shots clear of teammate Thomas Schmidt as the Red Wolves won their third consecutive team title with a 19 under-par total.
