Reigning Yorkshire Amateur champion Jake Sowden has enjoyed an extended run in Australia – adding a third-place finish in the South Australian Amateur Classic to his fourth-place finish in the Australian Amateur Championship.
Jake – who is based at The Oaks – shot rounds of 67, 74, 65 and 71 to finish on 11 under-par at Royal Adelaide – three shots behind winner Kayun Mudadana.
The result followed Jake’s T4 finish in the adidas Australian Amateur Championship in January – where he shot rounds of 68, 71, 72 and 74 to finish on five under-par as Jye Halls put together an emphatic victory, topping the leaderboard by seven shots with a 15 under-par total at Commonwealth and Cranbourne golf clubs.
